A bookwork which combines poetic, performtive text by These Horses with photography by Anne Tetzlaff.
An act of reading, in which the voice of the text continually shifts and is reframed by the imagery it sits beside - relationships creating meaning. With this work we explore our relationship with the spoken and written word and the potential for dialogue between performance and photography, performance and paper, performance and pens.
Underpinning this project was the aim
to create a book which would function as a work in its own right, rather
than simply be a record of our performance practice. In this way the book
reaches out in new directions, opening new avenues of enquiry for our
collaborative practice.
